Codes and procedures regulate the employment relationship between the employer and the employee and set out what is, and what is not acceptable conduct, and the consequences that flow from unacceptable conduct.

It is always advisable to have codes and procedures in place because they ensure that employees are clear on what is and what is not acceptable, and the consequences which flow from not adhering to such codes and procedures.

These codes also include having policies on sexual harassment and use of company email and internet by employees.
